Wilko has issued a safety warning to cat owners due to the recall of some of its cat food products.
The retailer said the move supported an investigation by food and veterinary authorities.
There is no evidence that the products are linked to a safety problem in cats, says Wilko, but that they are voluntarily recalling a selection of Wilko branded products as a precaution.
They advise cat owners not to feed their cats the listed products.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) announced that since April there have been more than 130 cases of pancytopenia in cats – a disease that can often be fatal in cats.
Pancytopenia is a rare condition in which the number of blood cells (red, white, and platelets) decreases rapidly and causes serious illness.
Sainsbury’s and Pets at Home are among the stores that are also recalling Fold Hill’s grocery brands as part of the investigation.
A statement from Wilko states: “Our priority is the safety of our customers and their pets. We support an investigation by the food and veterinary authorities into a possible safety problem in cats.
“If you purchased any of these products please return it to the store for a full refund”
“While there is no evidence that our products are affected, we are voluntarily recalling a selection of Wilko brand dry products as a precautionary measure.
“At the moment we recommend that you do not feed them to your cat.
“If you have purchased any of these products please return it to the store for a full refund. We have a wide variety of alternative dry cat food brands in store and online for your convenience.”
