Dr. Harris joins the PanTheryx board of directors to advance digestive and immune health research and consumer awareness

PanTheryx, an inclusive digestive and immune health company, today announced the addition of N. Stuart Harris, MD, to its board of directors. Dr. Harris is head of the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Department of Wilderness Medicine, which practices resource-limited medicine under strict conditions. Dr. Harris brings over twenty years of experience in emergency medicine, clinical research, and the interaction between the environment and human health. Dr. Harris is a full-time attending physician in the emergency room at MGH, an associate professor of emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School, and a faculty member of the Arctic Initiative at the Belfer Center at Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Dr. Harris graduated from the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency in 2003. His research focuses on the pathogenesis and treatment of altitude sickness and the relationship between climate change and human health. His research teams are active in the Himalayas, Kilimanjaro, the Andes, Alaska and far eastern Siberia and have been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the US DOD, MGH and HMS.
