Healthy news alert! What could be nicer than seeing an adorable train and pack of cute dogs? A train with these wonderful animals, of course. Eugene Bostick, a railroad retiree, took the greatest job of his life when he became the conductor for a dog train in Fort Worth, Texas. Bostick and his brother Walter have teamed up to do the specialty transport for abandoned dogs. A video clip of furry friends enjoying the ride is lucky fuel you need to make your day brighter.
Originally from 2015, the clip recently reappeared on Digg and we love to watch it. Some dogs bark for joy as they ride around in a blue plastic train. The cars are made of fiberglass drums and are pulled by Bostick’s John Deere tractor-trailer. Like humans, dogs take in the view and enjoy the moment.

For Eugene Bostick, the decision to give pleasure to dogs was a given. According to The Dog Train’s Facebook page, he had spent 20 years rescuing dogs and providing them with temporary shelter and health care. And what could lift a dog’s spirit more than lots of love and a fun ride? Many of the canines that rode on the train were former strays that Bostick took in for a better life.
The city’s love of the project resulted in GoFundMe receiving thousands of dollars and fans coming out to see the train in action. It is not clear whether the Bostick brothers’ dog train will still run in 2021. (Unfortunately Walter passed away in 2020.)

But thanks to YouTube, this clip will live forever and bring us joy again and again. We deserve to see this and smile. But more importantly, every good boy (and girl) deserves a fun ride, be it on a little blue train or some other form of transportation.
