Between Cinco de Mayo, the lifting of Covid restrictions and the reopening of the most popular seaside spots for the season, there’s plenty to celebrate this month. And while you might be ready to paint the city red in celebration, the party animals at the Burlington County Animal Shelter want nothing more than to get invited to a house party. Of course, as long as it’s in their new home forever. Who is the lucky recipient of your invitation?

When you meet a dog by the name of “Beefcake” all you know is that he will be the life of the party! Fortunately, this guy has taken a break from his bodybuilding career so that he can focus on finding his new family.
Beefcake puts a smile on your face every time you see him – and not because you admire his muscles. Beefcake is a friendly, sociable guy who is determined to live his best life no matter the circumstances. During his stay at the shelter, Beefcake won the hearts of staff and volunteers who just can’t resist his smiling face. Beefcake loves to play and has proven to be a nature lover.
He is very active and enjoys walking, hiking and even jogging. Beefcake arrived at the shelter as a stray, so its past is a mystery, but Beefcake is all about looking ahead. Beefcake is looking for an owner who has experience with strong dogs and who will work with him on training. Beefcake is a smart guy who aims to please.
If you are looking for a best friend, Beefcake will happily retire from his career as a jet setting model for men. To meet Beefcake, call the Burlington County Animal Shelter at 609-265-5073 and press option four to speak to a representative.

What’s better than a cute, fun-loving cat? Two of them, of course!
Now you don’t have to make the tough decisions that come with adoption: male or female? Buff or Tortoiseshell? Buddy and Sissy made it incredibly easy for adopters to say, “I’ll take two, please!”
This adorable brother and sister combination is a package deal and what a deal your new family will get. Buddy and Sissy are both friendly, loving, playful and lovable. The one-year-olds arrived at the shelter due to the deteriorating health of their owner and are a little unsure of their new surroundings.
Buddy is a super cute buff tabby who loves to play with his toys and sister. Sissy is a beautiful tortoiseshell with a cute round face and big eyes who loves to be petted and is attentive. Both are understandably a bit shy at the shelter and would like to go to their new home sooner rather than later. Buddy and Sissy may be best friends, but they wouldn’t mind having a furry friend or two in their new home as they grew up with dogs and other cats in their previous home.
This “perfect” couple is hoping to celebrate their homecoming – will the festivities be at your home? To meet Buddy and Sissy, call the Burlington County Animal Shelter at 609-265-5073 and press option 4 to speak to a representative.
