Undertake-A-Pet Canine of the Week: Luna Butterball

Submitted by Adopt-A-Pet

M.eet Luna Butterball! She is a 6 year old, 63 pound American Staffordshire Terrier in a beautiful blue and white coat. This real blue girl loves abdominal massages and cuddles!

Luna loves and is looking for a home with people who like to go for a walk, cuddle up and snuggle up on the couch. This good companion dog likes jazz music, driving, carrying her toys, and being close to you. She is wonderful on a leash and knows a lot of commands she likes to perform for treats, especially apples! Luna will alert you when someone approaches. She has been successfully groomed with other dogs much larger than her. However, proper induction of the dog is always best. Your home cannot have small dogs, cats, and absolutely no birds / poultry of any kind. A securely fenced yard is required.

If you have any further questions, email is the only method of communication right now. We all care about the health of our two-legged caregivers and the entire community. As a precautionary measure, we are temporarily suspending our public opening times. We continue to receive email inquiries and applications and will contact you as soon as we are able to do so. We appreciate everyone’s understanding during this difficult time! Stay healthy!

Adopt-A-Pet has a lot of great dogs and always needs volunteers. To see all of our current dogs, visit the Adopt-A-Pet website, our Facebook page, or the animal shelter on Jensen Road in Shelton. For more information, please email thedoghouse3091@hotmail.com or call 360.432.3091.

Opening times: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
