Aspiring animal health professionals looking for the best veterinary training may not have to travel too far from home.
Three American veterinary colleges have landed in the top 10 of the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, with the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) taking second place for the second time in a row.
“I am proud that UC Davis continues to receive recognition for the world-class education it provides to students and the powerful impact of its research and service,” said the school’s Registrar, Gary S. May.
Other US institutions that land in the top 10 veterinary sciences include Cornell University (No. 4) and Ohio State University (No. 6). In addition, the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada ranked 5th.
The QA ranking methodology focuses on academic reputation, research impact, and graduate desirability by employers, says UC Davis.
