Amazon now offers the Tractive LTE GPS Dog Tracker for $ 34.99 shipped. At $ 50 on a regular basis, this is Amazon’s all-time low and only the second time we’ve seen this low. If you do a quick internet browsing, you’ll notice this on most ‘Best of Dog Tracker’ lists if it’s not at the top. Although it requires a monthly subscription (starting at $ 4.99 per month), it delivers real-time location data directly to your smartphone via GPS in over 150 countries. You could just get a $ 29 AirTag and collar for it for free, but you don’t get the included fitness and calorie tracking or virtual fencing (creating safe spaces for your friend with notifications on departure and return). No matter how rough it is: “Walking through the forest, wallowing in the mud or swimming in the lake are no problem for Tractive.” Rated 4+ stars by over 4,800 Amazon customers. More details below.
As mentioned above, if the additional features of the Tractive system are of no interest to you, you can get an Apple AirTag and a collar attachment for about for $ 35 instead, without the monthly fee. Of course, you don’t get such a robust tracking system here, but it gives you some security and you can use the AirTag for other things as well.
