The Roverchase Foundation Service Dog Graduation Gala 2021

The Roverchase Foundation is proud to announce its Closing Service Dog Gala, which will take place on Sunday, August 29th from 5pm to 8pm at the Gabrella Manor at 8912 4th Ave. S. takes place. Guests are invited to attend a special graduation ceremony in honor of the Roverchase. Attend Service Dog Program Class 2021. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Roverchase Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to providing financial assistance to people with disabilities who need a life changing, professionally trained service dog.

Five service dog graduates, Dewflower, Dill, Dragon, Duck and Cahaba, will be honored and officially presented to their specially selected recipients with disabilities during the graduation ceremony in August. Guests have the privilege of attending the official “leash handover” ceremony. Following the ceremony, the masked querade-themed celebration will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, drinks and special festivities at Gabrella Manor, including a silent auction.

This year’s recipients are between 12 and 50 years old and live in Birmingham and Chelsea, Ala., And Navarre, Florida. They suffer from conditions like cerebral palsy, Kabuki syndrome, epilepsy, and more.

As part of the Roverchase Service puppy training program, the dogs will go through 18 months of training sessions and then will work for 8-10 years after coordinated with their recipients. Their specially trained jobs help transform the lives of their recipients by increasing their freedom and independence. It takes approximately $ 30,000 to $ 40,000 to raise and train a single service dog.

Bidding in the virtual silent auction begins on Thursday, August 19th and ends on August 29th on the night of the gala. With items added daily, the auction includes several high profile items such as a set of diamond hoop earrings from Diamonds Direct, antiques, annual pet vaccination and health visits from veterinarians, restaurant gift certificates, and more.

Tickets to the event are $ 50 per person and can be purchased here. The mask-crossed celebration features hors d’oeuvres and special festivities, including a virtual silent auction.
