Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, and Sainsbury’s issue urgent product recalls over cat food, snacks and baby food

Products have been recalled from a number of UK supermarkets due to health warnings.

Items sold by Tesco, Morrisons, Asda and Sainsbury’s have all been recalled due to various warnings.

Items like snack bars, soups, baby food, and cat food are being pulled off the shelves for a variety of reasons.

For some, it’s either the presence of plastic or possible allergenic ingredients not listed on the label.

The Food Standards Agency regularly updates their website with the latest recall notice, reports YorkshireLive.

The FSA has urged people not to use or consume these products as they could make you sick or pose a health risk.

Snack bars

The Skinny Food Co is recalling a wide variety of Skinny High Protein Low Sugar Duo bars for containing milk that isn’t properly labeled on the label.

Although the label includes a precautionary allergen label stating that the product contains “traces of milk”, this is incorrect.

The products therefore represent a potential health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk components. This recall has been expanded to include additional batch and date codes.

Tesco is recalling its own brand Cottage Pie Baby Food as it may contain small pieces of blue plastic.

The FSA said the possible presence of plastic made this product unsafe for consumption.

Morrisons Minestrone Soup

Morrisons is recalling its own minestrone soup as some packets contain celery, which is not mentioned on the label. This means that the product presents a potential health risk for anyone with a celery allergy.

The label also states that the product is suitable for vegans.

The minestrone soup is not suitable for vegans as it contains bacon.

Eat Real is recalling Eat Real Puff products, Mamia Organic Carrot Puffs, and Mamia Organic Tomato Wheels because they may contain milk that isn’t on the label.

This means that the product sold through various retailers such as Asda, Sainsbury’s and Ocado poses a potential health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk ingredients.

According to the FSA, there is a potential health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to barley, oats, wheat, or gluten.

Sainsbury’s Hypoallergenic Recipe Dry Cat Food

Fold Hill Foods is taking precaution to recall several hypoallergenic cat food products for safety reasons. The products are sold through Sainsbury’s Pets at Home and online through Amazon.

The product recall notice was updated earlier this week to include all best before dates for Applaws products with location code GB218E5009.

This is not due to the identification of further safety concerns, but rather a voluntary action by the manufacturer to make it easier for consumers to understand the products concerned.
