SVME Shomer Ethics Award
dr Anne Quain, Sydney, won this award, which is given in recognition of significant contributions to the field of veterinary ethics. dr Quain received her Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Sydney in 2005. She is a Lecturer at the Sydney School of Veterinary Science and a Veterinarian in Western Sydney. dr Quain is a member of the animal welfare chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists; a diplomat from the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavior Medicine in the field of animal welfare science, ethics and law; and Member of the Leadership Council of the Humane Society VMA. She is co-author of the book Veterinary Ethics: Navigating Tough Cases.
