To meet the growing demand for veterinarians in the US, Rowan University will establish a new college for veterinary medicine.

Rowan University School of Veterinary Medicine will offer the first DVM degree in New Jersey, with an opening course slated for fall 2025, subject to approval by the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education. The announcement follows an organizational release from the New Jersey Legislature, which approved $ 75 million last November

“We are creating a preferred destination for students who share a passion for animal health and pursue careers in veterinary studies at all college levels,” said Ali A. Houshmand, president of Rowan University.
