The Verkhovna Rada passed Law No. 3318 on Veterinary Medicine and Animal Welfare on February 4, which introduces a risk-based approach to the accounting and control of livestock farms for export-import activities, as well as facilities whose activities are at increased risk for animal disease.
According to an Interfax Ukraine correspondent, 305 MPs backed the bill with the required minimum of 226.
