The animal health section of global biopharmaceutical company MSD is showing a small device called the Animo that attaches to a dog’s collar and can track the total time the dog is active and learn and interpret the dog’s unique activity and behavior.
With the device, pet owners can better understand their dogs when taking a morning walk, sleeping under the table or while the postman barks.
And by learning how long a dog is active each day, their owner can ensure they are getting enough exercise to lead a healthy life.
After a seven day period of learning your dog’s “normal” activity levels, owners can begin setting daily goals for their dogs. When the dogs achieve this goal, they will receive a notification that will be marked complete on the dashboard.
Another eye-catcher at the stand is a water dispenser called Felaqua for cats. Because cats are common with kidney disease, owners can monitor how much water their domestic cats are drinking and identify potential risks.
MSD also offers anti-parasite and vaccine products for pets. For cows, the company will show devices it uses in dairy factories to monitor cows’ health and feeding habits for better milk production.
