Level Up: Veterinary Nurses & Technicians offers Veterinary Nurses and Technicians a high quality, free virtual CE event in conjunction with Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week. Each year, training and sponsorship opportunities are centered around a theme based on reader feedback on the NAVC’s industry-leading publication Today’s Veterinary Nurse. This year’s theme is Patient Advocacy, which supports the unique role of veterinarians and technicians as advocates for patient health towards their owners, veterinarians and practice managers. Topics include patient advocacy, behavior, anesthesia and pain management, emergency care, and wellbeing. Veterinary nurses and technicians receive up to six hours of training over two days via the NAVC’s online learning platform, VetFolio.com.

“The NAVC really stood out for its support for animal nurses and technicians. I am so proud of the leadership it continues to take on for zookeepers and technicians everywhere, ”said Paige Allen, MS, Registered Veterinary Technician and Assistant Director of Academic Advice and Recruitment for the Veterinary Nursing Program Purdue University, College of Veterinary Medicine and President of the NAVC Board of Directors.

The virtual level-up series is part of NAVC Virtual XP, which was released earlier this year. With NAVC Virtual XP, NAVC offers a comprehensive portfolio of virtual learning and events that are tailored to individual learning preferences. Virtual XP complements NAVC’s industry-leading face-to-face events and includes interactive virtual summits, live webinars, and the VetFolio Bytes micro-educational video series.
