STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine will host its 35th annual open house this Saturday [April 2] from 9-4 pm This year’s theme is “Hollywoof,” and the event is free and open to all.

Organizers said open house is a great opportunity for community members to visit CVM at 240 Wise Center Drive. The day will be full of hands-on activities and learning experiences for visitors of all ages, including a petting zoo, large animal exhibits and demonstrations and displays from veterinary students and faculty.

The MSU-CVM is the state’s only veterinary college and is one of only a few colleges in the nation that provides two full years of clinical experience for veterinary students in addition to coursework and labs. The college boasts a greater than 98% North American Veterinary Licensing Examination, or NAVLE, pass rate.
