Man in custody after grandmother killed, dog injured at Spring Branch home, authorities say

HOUSTON – Houston police arrested a man on Wednesday after his grandmother was killed, authorities said.

At around 9 a.m., Houston police were dispatched to an apartment on the 6500 block on Corbin Street.

The reporter said his brother, who is struggling with mental health problems, may have killed his grandmother.

When the officers arrived, they found the woman injured and in a closet.

She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died, the authorities said.

A mental hospital was called to the scene and the suspect was eventually taken into police custody.

The case is still being investigated by the Houston Police Department.
