On National Dog Day on August 26th, Maggie was named America’s Best Farm Dog in a special awards ceremony at New Holland’s Farm Journal Field Days. (Log in here or register to see the ceremony at the New Holland booth).
The hunt for top dogs began in July, and farming families across the country cast their votes on these precious pooches to narrow the field down to these 11 finalists, with one alternative due to a three-way tie:

Zoe, Maggie and Zoey were named one of the top three finalists by a jury based on these criteria:
• Originality of the photo / video (50%);
• Relationship and support with agriculture (25%); and
• Overall fun and creativity (25%).

As the perfect ending to this puppy’s story, Stephanie Wilburn, Maggie’s human mate, shared the news that Maggie is donating her $ 400 prize to Stephanie’s cousin, Amanda.
