Rep. Tlaib appeared as the inaugural speaker of the 2021 National Convention of Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) during a virtual event on Monday, linking issues in her hometown of Detroit with her Palestinian background.
“When I think of my family in Palestine, who continue to live under military occupation, and how that really ties in with this beautiful black city I grew up in, you know that I always say that people, people, separate people from water “Violence is and they do.” From Gaza to Detroit, “she said. “And it’s a way of controlling people, of suppressing people. On Tuesday, Greenblatt commented on Twitter that Tlaib’s remarks were “stunning”.
