Lambton public health officials are asking the public for help in identifying a dog that bit a woman at Blackwell Dog Park in Sarnia on Saturday morning.

The health department said in a press release it happened around 9:30 a.m. and the dog, describing a light brown boxer mix, was being led by a man and woman who both appeared to be in their 50s or 60s.

Anyone with information about the dog’s owner is encouraged to contact Lambton Public Health at 519-383-8331 ext. 3812.

If the dog isn’t found and its health checked, women will need to be given rabies injections after exposure, the agency said.
