LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – Pit bulls, cats and kitten adoption fees will be reduced by LA Animal Services for free or $ 50 this weekend during an LA Animal Services adoption event sponsored by the Paula Kent Meehan Pet Care Foundation

Pit bulls and dogs that resemble pit bulls are available at a discount of $ 50, while cat and kitten adoption fees are completely waived.

“The Pitty-Kitty Adoption Event is an opportunity for people to adopt pit bull terriers, cats, and kittens as lovable pets that can offer both physical and mental benefits,” said Bill Crowe, director of the Paula Kent Meehan Pet Care Foundation.

“There are many great dogs and cats at our centers just waiting to make their lives better,” said Brenda Barnette, general manager of LA Animal Services. “This event is the perfect time for an adoption.”

Those who have adopted or fostered a pet from LA Animal Services are encouraged to share a photo of their pet on social media using the hashtags #LAcitypets and #LAanimalservices.
