“The Fido Foster ‘Lucky Dog’ Photo Contest is a time to not only celebrate amazing dogs who have overcome adversity, but also to give back to the volunteer carers, adopters and animal welfare organizations who saved them,” said Liz Baker, CEO from Greater Good Charities.
Zeus, the grand prize winner of the Fido Foster Lucky Dog Photo Contest, receives an annual offer of Halo pet food and 5,000 meals from Halo and a $ 5,000 grant courtesy of MyPetCandle to donate to a shelter of his choice (Furry Friends Rockin Rescue). Zeus also receives a premium annual membership and $ 100 for free walks with Wag’s dog!
Two runners-up in the competition will each receive 3,000 Halo meals to donate to a shelter of their choice and $ 100 for free Wag’s dog walks!

From February 25th to March 9th, dog carers and adopters were invited to visit FidoFoster.org to share a photo of their foster or adoptive dog and answer the question, “Why is your dog a happy dog?” Lucky Dog selected the 25 best entries for the public to vote on from March 10th to 16th.
FidoFoster.org is focused on improving the care of homeless dogs by supporting a national network of carers and helping organizations with care. With advice from animal professionals, it’s an online community for connecting and sharing information on critical topics such as dog grooming, grooming resources, and dog nutrition for all stages of life.
