June 8th is the last day on which the Henrico Humane Society will be supported by the online fundraiser “Cash for Cats”. The effort is part of Adopt-A-Cat Month in June and began on June 1st.

This is the fifth year HHS has participated in Cash for Cats, which is helping the organization maintain rescue efforts for pets in need. Donations can be made at www.henricohumane.org/donate.

“It has been a busy year for animal rescue organizations, including HHS, as we continued rescue efforts during these difficult months,” said HHS President Cara Salman. “The cats and kittens in our care have different health needs and sometimes require additional care.”

The organizer hopes the effort will raise $ 10,000, money that will be used to provide medical care to move cats to new homes.
