dr Eric Heath, a graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine, was recently named Outstanding Vet of the Year 2021 by the South Dakota Veterinary Medical Association.
“I am so fortunate that I have been able to practice with the partners, with the employees and for the clients throughout my career. I am very honored and grateful to have been selected for this award,” said Dr. Heath in response to the award.
Heath earned his DVM from OSU in 1992. He practiced in Canistota and Miller, both in South Dakota, before moving to Winner, South Dakota in 1999, where he became a practicing associate at Animal Clinic Ltd. in 2000. would. Raised in southern Oklahoma, Heath is known for his professional excellence in counseling and treating livestock.
He is a member of the South Dakota Veterinary Medical Association, the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, the Society for Theriogenology, and the Academy of Veterinary Consultants. Heath currently serves on the Merck Large Animal Advisory Board and is active in his church and 4-H.
