BATAVIA – Genesee County Health Department searches for information on a dog and its owner after a dog bite late Monday morning.

The bite occurred in Centennial Park near Lincoln Avenue. The dog is described as a gray pit bull with white markings around the neck, front paws, and left ear. It weighed about 55 to 60 pounds and wore a camouflage collar. The dog was not accompanied by its owner and ran free.
