DIAMOND HEAD, Hawaii (KITV) – A man, cat, and dog were all rescued from a burning house in the Diamond Head area Friday morning.

Troy Williams says he first saw a fire in the Diamond Head area this morning.

After smelling smoke, he ran to the house, knocked on the door – she even entered. He could save a man and his cat.

The Honolulu Fire Department appeared shortly after the house fire at 3448 James Street in Honolulu. 10 units were called into the flame.

“I’m a local former Marine, I run the risk of helping,” Williams said. “It instilled in me I should be there.”

Firefighters were also able to save the man’s dog.
