Girl, canine in good well being after an evening in winter climate

RED BLUFF, California – A woman was reunited with her parents after her parents filed a missing persons report when she failed to get to her destination, California Highway Patrol said.

The woman and her dog were on a country lane south of Highway 36 on Tuesday afternoon, standing outside their vehicle.

The parents reported a missing person when they did not get to their destination and could not reach them.

CHP used two helicopters to locate the woman and relayed the information to the CHP – Trinity River unit, which responded to the location.

The woman was in good health despite having stayed overnight in winter weather. She was reunited with her parents near Red Bluff.
