EL PASO, Texas – The El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies were looking for a woman who abandoned her healthy dog ​​by dropping him off at an El Paso Far Eastern hospital and rushing away, officials said Monday.

The incident occurred Friday at a hospital facility in the 13400 block of Gateway West Boulevard.

“The hospital staff informed representatives that an unknown woman brought the dog to the waiting area and said there was an obstruction in the dog’s throat. The woman then rushed back to her vehicle and drove away in her blue car, “the sheriff’s office said in a report of the incident, which was accompanied by surveillance images showing the woman and her car.

Authorities said the dog had no medical problems and was in excellent health.
