The Mayor of Miguel Hidalgo, Victor Hugo Romo, handed over the renovation work to the Salesian Park Veterinary Clinic and gave the go-ahead for the first mobile veterinary operating room (vehicle unit) to protect the health of the animals in the region.
As part of World Animal Sterilization Day, the local president stated that promoting adoption, medical screening, responsible guardianship, sterilization and the culture of animal welfare was a priority.
He stated that with an investment of more than one and a half million pesos, the Salesian Park Clinic was rehabilitated, where it was equipped with equipment and other essential tools for the care and health of the animals.
Carlos Esquivel Lacroix, head of the Animal Care Agency (Agatan), pointed out that the following had been rehabilitated in the veterinary clinic: LED lighting, lobby with pharmacy, waiting room, toilets, changing room for veterinarians; In addition to three completely renovated offices.
“The clinic also has a sink, operating room and prep area, X-ray room, dining room, meeting room, cage area and refrigerator,” he said.
The residents of the demarcation can visit the veterinary clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and it is only visited by appointment on the following WhatsApp number: 55 8569 7531.
He also mentioned that the new mobile operating room will sterilize dogs and cats at affordable prices, conduct veterinary consultations and put stray animals up for adoption.
He stressed that the mobile operating theater will be located in Deportivo 18 de Marzo until the epidemiological traffic light turns green. Later it will visit the demarcation’s 89 colonies for veterinary care for pets.
