Leo, a 7 year old male Maine Coon mix, joined Felines & Friends in December following the death of his owner. Cute Leo had lived in a playpen cage and was very shy.
With the care and patience of Felines & Friends, Leo was able to learn to live outside of a confined space and was adopted by Nissa Marenius and Isaac Michaud of White Rock in February.
“Leo has been such a joyful addition to our family,” said Marenius. “Although he was reserved with us for his first few weeks, he was loving and comfortable with us from the start – he’s now Isaac’s work-from-home supervisor.”
Leo thrives in his new home and it has been a humbling and rewarding experience for Marenius and Michaud to see him become more confident.
“He makes us slow down and cherish small moments with him. He’s been playing with a foil yogurt topper instead of a catnip for most of the day, so he’s teaching us to make the most of what we already have, ”said Marenius.
