For years, dogs have been the eternal companion of humans, who are rightly known as “man’s best friend”. They are loyal, loving and reliable. Dogs were and always are better than cats.

Dogs love

Dogs love their owners and they will make that very clear. Once a dog has bonded to you, good luck in resisting the endless amounts of licks, cuddles, and tail wags they will give you.

They call dogs “man’s best friend” for a reason because they’re always by your side when you need them most. In terms of love, dogs are also a great conversation starter when you meet a cute woman or guy. Who knows, owning a dog could open the door for you to meet your significant other.

Dogs are great companions

Do you need a friend? Look no further than your local animal shelter. Dogs may be easy to care for, but that’s part of the charm. Why get a pet (* cough * a cat * cough *) when you don’t want to see it for days?

Dogs are always down for a walk, running around the back yard, or getting pets. They also improve the owner’s health and encourage them to spend time outside of exercise. You will never be lonely when you have a dog.

Dogs are stupid

Dogs like to do weird, random things that always bring a smile to your face. Your dog is likely to spontaneously decide to do laps around your house. Your dog might choose to chase his tail at times. Your dog might even try to eat some grass. Are these things weird? Yes. But are they funny? Absolutely.

Ultimately, dogs are a constant source of joy and fun for their owners. They are constantly optimistic animals who are always looking for a fun time. There’s a reason one of the most famous cartoon characters of all time is a dog named goofy.

Dogs are cute

Objectively speaking, kittens and puppies are cute. But still objectively speaking, when puppies grow up to be dogs, they stay cute, largely due to their fun mannerisms and happy disposition. Kittens, on the other hand, become cats that are objectively “meh” on the cuteness scale.

There’s nothing quite like a golden retriever, little beagle, or royal poodle running around the house. It just can’t be beat. And while kittens can be cute, they inevitably grow up to be cats who, objectively, are much less cute again.

Finally

Is It Easier To Own A Cat? Most likely. As a student, especially, it can be more convenient to care for a cat than a dog. But that’s not the point of getting a pet. Humans get pets for the love, memories, and fun they have with the pet, and dogs offer this in abundance. Do dogs take a lot of time, responsibility, and effort to look after them? Absolutely. But nothing worth doing is easy. In the words of the great conservationist Roger A. Caras: “Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our life whole.”
