ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) – The newest member of the Arapahoe County’s Sheriff’s Department was sworn in on Wednesday.

Meet 10 week old Rex, a black lab puppy who will be the division’s new therapy dog ​​at Littleton Public Schools. He was sworn in by Sheriff Tyler Brown on Wednesday.

Rex is the first therapy dog ​​for the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department. He is teamed up with Assistant School Resource Officer John Gray.

Gray and Rex will work with students with special needs to provide comfort to students in times of crisis or stress. Rex also helps students who suffer from mental health problems such as anxiety or depression.
