The Punjab Public Service Commission posted a vacancy for a Veterinary Officer (Group-A). A total of 353 vacant positions will be filled as part of the recruitment process. The Punjab Government’s Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Production is hiring a Veterinary Officer (Group-A). After the final selection, the candidate will be paid 47,600 rupees per month as a veterinary assistant.

Required educational qualification:

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from a university recognized by the Veterinary Council of India.

  • Candidates should register with the Punjab Veterinary Council if interested.

  • Matric or equivalent Punjabi level is required.

The commission has also determined that candidates must have the required qualifications before or by 12/10/2021.

Application and examination fee:

  • SC / ST of all states and reverse grades of Punjab state only: Rs.750

  • Former Punjab State Soldier Only: Rs.500

  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Persons with Disabilities (PWD) and Direct Descendants of Ex-Serviceman (LDESM) Punjab: Rs.500

  • All other categories ie General, Punjab Athletes and Wards of Freedom Fighters, Punjab: Rs.1500
