We have another adoptable animal that is looking for a permanent home this week. Georgia the cat has been at the shelter since 2018, hoping to find a loving home for Valentine’s Day.
According to my friend Michaela, who is a volunteer with the Mower County Humane Society, Georgia always greets you when you enter the shelter. Michaela had this to say about Georgia.

“Georgia is a very cute girl who always greets you with a smile when you walk through the door. She has been with the Mower County Humane Society since she was saved in 2018. She is a very social girl and gets along well with others Cats im You’d be good with considerate children too. Those amber eyes should win hearts around the world, so let’s help Georgia find a home! “
Georgia doesn’t seem to have any health concerns either, which, aside from an annual checkup for her, isn’t too much for someone. As with all animals moving into a new house or living environment, it will take time for them to feel comfortable. So a little patience can be very rewarding.
The Georgia adoption fee with the Mower County Humane Society is $ 50. Here you can find and fill out an adoption application. Currently the shelter is not yet open with regular adoption times. You’ll need to schedule a visit by calling the shelter.
