Field of activity
We are looking for a scientist who represents the field of pharmacology and toxicology with special emphasis on cross-species issues and the treatment of molecular pharmacological and translational aspects at the Vetmeduni. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent research program and strengthen the research priorities of the department and the university.
A research profile in the field of pharmacology and toxicology with a focus on comparative understanding of molecular signaling pathways in (patho-) physiological processes (‘Pathway Medicine’) and identification and cross-species investigation of substances in living systems with the aim to understand their interactions, uptake/excretion mechanisms and biological activities is desired. Further emphasis should be given to collaborative efforts with the clinical field of veterinary medicine (including laboratory animal medicine) with interdisciplinary approaches in human medicine.
The position is open to individuals who have an outstanding national and international record in the field of pharmacology and toxicology.
