SAN MARCOS, Texas – Some happy puppies get a second chance to find a forever home after being subjected to euthanasia due to overcrowding in the shelter.
According to a Facebook post from Austin Pets Alive!
APA! said they teamed up with nine underserved animal shelters across Texas to rescue the pups. Everyone was on euthanasia lists.
During their stay with the organization, the pups received health checkups and vaccinations, APA, before boarding their flight! Officials said.
Dog Is My CoPilot, a non-profit that transports dogs from overcrowded animal shelters, will be flying dogs to the various animal shelters throughout the day.
APA! Officials said the dogs will have carers and adoptive parents waiting for them once they arrive at the shelters.
