LAUDERHILL, FLA. (WSVN) – A boy was hospitalized after being attacked by a dog in Lauderhill.
Lauderhill Police and Fire Department personnel responded to the Northwest 73rd Avenue area and 44th Court area around 8:20 p.m. Thursday.
According to the fire department, the 11-year-old boy was taken to Broward Health Medical Center in severe condition.
Police said the boy was visiting family when he and other children went outside to play video games.
Then the homeowner’s dog followed the kids, and at some point the dog started barking, attacked the kid and bit him on the arm, the police said.
From late Thursday evening, the dog remains in the care of the home owner.
